Here is his hot start by the numbers, plus the Maxey rookie-year cards we have on our table right now. Stats as of Nov 4, 2026 (Basketball-Reference and ESPN).

From the 21st Pick to All-NBA
The Sixers took Maxey out of Kentucky with the 21st pick of the 2020 NBA Draft, and he made his debut on Dec. 23, 2020. He averaged 8.0 points as a rookie. Every season since, he has added to his game.
A Steady Climb
Maxey won Most Improved Player in 2023-24, when he jumped to 25.9 points a night and earned his first All-Star nod. Last season he was even better: 28.3 points and 6.6 assists per game, a second All-Star selection and a spot on the All-NBA Third Team. His career high is 54 points.
The Last Week
Maxey has scored at least 26 points in each of his last five games. He dropped 38 in a 109-104 win at Charlotte on Oct. 31, then posted 26 points and 11 assists in a 126-107 win over Chicago on Nov. 2.
What to Watch
The Sixers visit the Detroit Pistons tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7:00 PM ET. A birthday-night game against the only team that has beaten Philadelphia so far this season is a pretty good stage.
